Queen's Park
A silver chain was found in Queen’s Park at Holyrood but is now lost.
The chain was discovered “in the course of some improvements”. It consisted of thirty one linked pairs of silver rings, with one end terminating in a single ring. The rings measured around 2.5cm in diameter and were around 0.5cm thick. The chain measured around 41cm in total length and weighed around 0.7kg.
The chain was donated to the National Museum as treasure trove however its current whereabouts are unknown. I have placed the location at Trove’s co-ordinates for Holyrood Park.
