Abernethy No. 2

This small fragment of a Class III symbol stone, measuring around 31cm high, was found in Abernethy Churchyard but is now in the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh (catalogue number IB 98).

On the front are the carved lower parts of two legs of a horse, below which is a band craved with three Ogham letters thought to be either “I M Q” or “I M N”.
