Craig Castle
Craig Castle, probably built in 1548, has been described as “one of the most magnificent castellated mansions in Scotland”. An east wing and gateway were added in 1767, a central wing around 1832, and a west wing in 1908.
It is one of four castles in the area thought to be the work of one master mason, the others being Delgatie Castle, Gight Castle and Towie Barclay Castle.
Where is Craig Castle?
Craig Castle is in the parish of Auchindoir and Kearn and the county of Aberdeenshire.
