Old Deer
This Class I symbol stone once stood at the east end of a range of buildings associated with Deer Abbey and was first recorded in 1850, Later in the 19th century it was built into the foundations of a new lodge nearby but it has now been lost.
On one side the stone is carved with a rectangle above a crescent and V-rod. It was later turned upside down and reused, with the outline of a simple cross carved on the other side.
