Daviot
This Class I symbol stone was recorded in 1850 lying by the roadside opposite Newton of Mounie farmhouse. It was moved to Mounie Castle in 1866, during which process it was split in two, and was observed in a basement room towards the end of the 19th century.
The stone is carved on one face with a crescent and V-rod above a further crescent, a mirror and a comb. It can now be found in the grounds of Mounie Castle at NJ 7665 2862.
