Naughton Castle
On the 8th of July 1563 William Crichton of Drylaw and Nauchtan granted the “barony of Nauchtan, with tower, mills, fishings, and mains thereof, the lands of Gelraw, Sandford, Innerdowett, Byrhylls, with fishings in Tay (‘Taya’), fishings of Braidheuch there, Caldhame, the lands of Sterisland, Sagy, and Wormett, with fishings, etc., in the sheriffdom of Fife” to Alexander Crichton, younger of Drylaw.
