Knowe of Burrian
This Class I symbol stone was found in the Knowe of Burrian, a mound which probably represents the remains of a broch.
The stone was uncovered during an amateur excavation in 1936 and was found in a ruined passage. Measuring around 1.1m tall by 0.54m wide and 0.09m thick, it is carved with an eagle above a crescent and V-rod symbol over a mirror offset to the left.
The stone is now housed within the Orkney Museum at Tankerness House in Kirkwall.
