Sands of Evie

This Class I symbol stone was discovered on the Sands of Evie close to the Broch of Gurness.

The stone measures around 0.28m by 0.23m by 0.09m thick and is thought to be a small fragment of a larger stone. It is carved with the lower portion of a mirror symbol including the handle.

Discovered in 1967, it is now housed within the Orkney Museum at Tankerness House in Kirkwall.
