Tillytarmont 5
This Class I symbol stone was discovered while ploughing a field called Donaldstone Haugh on North Tillytarmont farm in 1972, on a promontory at the confluence of the Isla and Deveron. It is one of five stones found in the same field in the vicinity of a square cairn, the others being the Goose Stone, Tillytartmont 2, Tillytartmont 3 and Tillytartmont 6.
The stone, which is carved with an eagle above a Pictish beast, was taken to the garden of Little Craigherbs in Whitehills at NJ 6524 6473 and is now in the Marischal Museum in Aberdeen.
