Pool
This Class I symbol stone was found within a Pictish settlement having been used face down as a paving stone.
The stone is thought to be a natural undressed slab and measures around 0.76m by 0.40m and 0.09m thick. On one side is a roughly-pecked double-disc symbol with a curvilinear motif which may be part of an intended Z-rod.
It was uncovered during an excavation in 1985 and is now housed within the Orkney Museum at Tankerness House in Kirkwall.
