Dunkeld 1
This Class I symbol stone was discovered within the grounds of Dunkeld House but is now located within Dunkeld Cathedral.
First recorded in the mid-19th century, the stone measures around 1.1m in length by around 0.57m in height and is up to 0.34m in thickness, being trapezoid in shape when viewed from above.
On the right side of the front face is the incised figure of a man on horseback carrying a spear and drinking from a horn.
The upper face of the stone is decorated with a small sunken equal-armed cross with expanded terminals.
The stone, which is grey sandstone, was moved to the Cathedral around 1946.
