Bruceton
This Class I symbol stone stands in its original position, now within a field to the south of Bruceton Farm.
It stands within a bend in the river Isla which is the current boundary between the counties of Perthshire and Angus and may have been the old boundary between the Pictish kingdoms of Fotla and Circind.
The stone measures around 1.37m tall by around 0.91m wide and is up to 0.28m thick. On its south-east face are two incised symbols, namely an arch over a Pictish beast. The interior of the arch seems to have been decorated with a pattern.
Where is Bruceton?
