Swinton House
Swinton House was built in 1800 on the site of an earlier house “of great antiquity” which burned down in 1797.
The lands of Swinton are mentioned in the early 13th century when Sir John of Stevenston, son of Archibald of Gullane, resigned the lands of Swinton and Harcarse in favour of Anketin, prior of Coldingham.
