Castle of Kerdale
The Castle of Kerdale was once the seat of the barony of Kerdale but only a low section of grass-covered wall remains of it.
In the early 13th century the castle was owned by Freskin de Kerdal, thought to be a descendent of Freskin de Moravia. Little is know about Freskin de Kerdal except that he may have been the brother-in-law of William de Douglas and was patron of the church of Daviot.
