Dun Castle (site of)

Dun Castle may have stood here, or it may possibly have stood where the House of Dun was later built.

In 1666 David Erskine of Dun married Jean Lumsdaine, daughter of Colonel James Lumsdaine of Innergellie and Christian Rutherford and widow of Thomas Ramsay, son of Gilbert Ramsay of Bamff. Their son, David Erskine, later became Lord Dun.
