Todshawhill (site of)
Todshawhill was a tower or bastle that was demolished and removed by Robert Scott of Harwood in or around 1663.
In the early 15th century Todshawhill was owned by the Inglis of Manor family but in 1446 Thomas Inglis of Manor granted Branksholm, Branshaugh, Goldylands, Quhitelaw, Quhiterig, Todshaw-hills and Todshaw-wood to Walter Scott of Murdiston, father of Sir David Scott of Buccleuch, in exchange for Murdiston and Hartwood.
The exact location of the tower has been lost so I have placed the site of the tower at Todshawhill farm pending further research.
