Branxholme Castle
In the early 15th century Branxholme was owned by the Inglis of Manor family but in 1446 Thomas Inglis of Manor granted Branshaugh, Goldylands, Quhitelaw, Quhiterig, Todshaw-hills and Todshaw-wood to Walter Scott of Murdiston, father of Sir David Scott of Buccleuch, in exchange for Murdiston and Hartwood.
