Carrington (site of)
Carrington was the site of an old house or castle, although nothing of it now remains.
In 1456 Sir Alexander Ramsay of Dalwosy signed a bond agreeing to pay his granddaughter, Janet Ramsay, compensation for any loss of her rights to the baronies of Dalwosy, Kerintoune and Fouldene.
Carrington was erected a burgh of barony in 1664.
The exact location of the property is not known so I have placed it at the centre of the village for now pending further research.
