Halls of Airth

Pont 32: The East Central Lowlands
Timothy Pont, c. 1583 – 96map image courtesy of NLS

A tower named Oldhall is marked on Pont’s late 16th century map and may represent a castle at what is now Halls of Airth.

Earlier in the 16th century the lands of Halls of Airth were held by the Livingston family.

I have placed the site of the tower at Halls of Airth farmhouse pending further research.
