Fingalton (site of)

Fingalton was a tower that once stood somewhere to the south of Balgray although its exact location has been lost.

Robert Cruk of Fingaledstone signed the Ragman Roll in 1296 and may have been Robert Croc, Lord of Crookston.

I have placed the site of the tower at Old Duncarnock pending further research, the tower of Dunkarnok being marked in approximately this area on Pont’s late 16th century map.
