Mundole

Pont 8 (Moray and Nairn)
Timothy Pont, ca. 1583-1614map image courtesy of NLS

Mundole was a castle that was extant in the late 16th century but nothing of it now remains.

The castle is marked on Pont’s map as the castle of Moundoll within enclosed parkland.

A later Mundole House may have incorporated part of the tower, however this house was subsequently demolished.

The exact site of the castle is now lost but likely falls within an equestrian centre.
