Foulden Bastle (site of)
Foulden bastle was a property of the Ramsay family but nothing of it now remains.
In 1456 Sir Alexander Ramsay of Dalwosy signed a bond agreeing to pay his granddaughter, Janet Ramsay, compensation for any loss of her rights to the baronies of Dalwosy, Kerintoune and Fouldene.
The last remains of the bastle were removed around 1835. Two gable skew putts carved with rough faces and a stone carved with a thistle were re-set into the wall of a nearby farm building. A dovecot associated with the bastle was demolished around 1960.
