Dairsie Castle

Dairsie Castle is a restored 16th century tower house which is built on the site of an earlier castle.

In 1575 Margaret Learmonth, daughter of Sir James Learmonth of Dairsie, married John Anstruther of Anstruther as his second wife. Interestingly one of the witnesses to a 1549 charter to his first wife was Patrick Learmonth of Dairsie, brother of Sir James.
