Cross Keys bastle
The Cross Keys is thought to be one of six bastle houses that were extant in Peebles 1870.
An archaeological investigation in 2014 discovered a wall some 1.7m thick. The building was remodelled and extended in the 17th, 18th and 20th centuries.
Historic Environment Scotland list the grid reference NT 2530 4039 on Canmore and NT 25308 40556 on the Listed Building register, however these appear to be wrong as both describe the bastle as being on Northgate.
