Castle Lennox, mentioned in 16th century charters, may have stood at this site although its exact location is not clear.

The Ordnance Survey Name Book recorded the location however the book was destroyed during World War II.

On aerial photos there’s what may be a spread of stones across the middle of a field, which could be associated with the castle however this requires further investigation.
