Baldovie
Baldovie farmhouse is a late 17th century Renaissance mansion which may incorporate part of an earlier tower house.
A substantial castle with a large four storey central tower is marked on Pont’s late 16th century map of Middle Strathmore as Baldiuy.
The mansion is a rubble-built five bay house with a slightly projecting centre bay with a raised stair to the main entrance and consists of two storeys and a basement.
In the late 18th century the north wing was remodelled and extended, possibly by James Playfair.
