Littlehope (site of)

Littlehope is marked as a tower named Litlelap on Blaeu’s mid-17th century map.

Littlehope was later renamed Broughton House, a mansion which incorporated the remnants of an old tower house and which burned down in 1773.

Broughton Place is an early 20th century mansion built in the style of a 17th century tower house and occupying the site of the earlier house.
