Arthurstone

This large standing stone probably stood in the field to the west of Arthurstone House, although it’s excact location is unknown. It may have stood next to a cairn. The stone was broken up in 1792 and used as building materials.

The name of the stone is said to have been the result of a connection with Arthurian legend.
