Halcro Castle (site of)

Halcro Castle was supposedly the home of Sir Hugh Halcro, who was knighted in 1314 at Bannockburn. However in reality the Halcros may not have occupied Halcro until the late 15th century. The farmer at Halcro removed lime mortared foundations in the second half of the 20th century, and nothing now remains.
