Freswick Castle

Freswick Castle is an early 17th century tower house built by the Mowat family.

A 16th century beehive doocot nearby may indicate that the tower replaced or incorporated an earlier castle.

Freswick Castle
In 1661 the castle, which was previously known as the manor place of Burnesyde, passed to the Sinclair family.
