A tower named Green Lein is marked on Blaeu’s mid-17th century map of Annandale, based on Pont’s late 16th century work.
Its position downstream from Dongeuel (Dargavel), Drumbeg and Koullyin (Collin) and upstream from Kilblein (Kirkblane) and Yl of Locchyir (Isle Tower), and the similarity of the name, suggest that it could have been in the vicinity Greenlea.
I have placed the site of the tower in the middle of the settlement of Greenlea pending further research.
