Mungo's Walls (site of)

Mungo’s Walls was a castle mentioned in the 16th century but nothing of it now remains.

In September 1545 Mongouse Towre was burned by an English army led by Edward Seymour, Earl of Hertford.

The exact site of the tower is unknown so I have placed it at Mungo’s Wells farm pending further research.
