Huildie's Tower (site of)

Parish: Ayton

County: Berwickshire

Grid reference: NT 927 617

Lat / long: 55.849277, -2.116842

Alternative names: Huldie's Tower; Huldies Cottage; Huldies Park

The historic map is an Ordnance Survey map from 1919 to 1947, and is provided by the National Library of Scotland

Huildie's Tower was a castle not far from Ayton Castle, taking its name from the owner, Huildie.

Until I've managed to do any more research, I've placed it at the present property named Huldies Cottage. It was probably destroyed when the Earl of Surrey invaded Scotland in 1487.
