Tower of Garden (site of)
The Tower of Garden was a castle which once stood here however the last remains were removed in the late 19th century.
Garden was one of the original eleven baronies in the parish of Kippen along with Glentirran, Dasher or Deshour, Shirgarton, Broich, Arnmanuel, Arnbeg, Arnmore, Arnfinlay, Buchlyvie and Arnprior.
The building was referred to as the “ruinous Tower of Gardenn” in 1724 but the same ruins were described in 1878 as being “pretty entire” and standing within a rampart and ditch.
