Stodrig (site of)
Stodrig was a castle owned by the McDougalls in the 16th and 17th centuries but nothing of it now remains.
In September 1545 “Stotherike towre” was burned by an English army led by Edward Seymour, Earl of Hertford.
The exact site of the tower is unknown so for now I’ve placed it at the centre of the Stodrig Farm pending further research.
