Skelfhill (site of)

Skelfhill was a tower that was demolished and removed by Robert Scott of Harwood in or around 1663.

The lands of Skelfhill may have been owned by Gavin Elliot of Horsleyhill in the mid-16th century, and in 1607 Robert Elliot of Skelfhill is on record.

The exact site of the tower is now lost, and Historic Environment Scotland just give a very general grid reference, so I’ve placed the site of the tower at Skelfhill Farm pending further research.
