Polmont

Pont 32: The East Central Lowlands (Stirling, Falkirk & Kilsyth)
Timothy Pont, c.1583 – 1596image courtesy of NLS

A tower named Poumont is marked on Pont’s late 16th century map of the east central Lowlands.

I have placed the site of the tower at Polmont House pending further research.

Polmont House was a 17th century house with extensive 18th and 19th century alterations and additions. It was demolished in 1981 and the site now falls within Polmont House Gardens.
