Hedderwick was one of several towers destroyed by an English force under the Earl of Hertford on the 16th of April 1544, along with Kirklandhill, Stevenson, Eastbams, Markle, Traprain and Belton.
I’ve placed the site of the tower at the 18th century Hedderwick farm pending further research.
