Granton motte (possible)

A possible motte has been identified at Granton.

Consisting of a large mound measuring around 50.0m in diameter at the base and around 10.0m across the summit, there are the remains of a possible shallow ditch to the north-east.

On the north-north-west side of the mound are the remains of a possible homestead featuring a circular enclosure with a room to the north.
