Arndilly

This Class I Pictish symbol stone was found in the wall of an old church sometime prior to 1856. The church was later demolished and Arndilly House built on the site of it.

The stone is carved with a decorated mirror case symbol and a notched rectangle and Z-rod. Similar combinations of symbols occur on other Strathspey stones at Dandaleith and Inveravon.

Around 1960 the stone was inserted into the west gable of Arndilly House.
