Cluny (site of)

Cluny was a tower which is marked on Blaeu’s mid-17th century interpretation of Pont’s late 16th century map.

Nothing of it is though to remain and its exact location is unclear so I have placed it at Cluny Mains pending further research.

In 1464 when the owner of Traquair House, William Murray, was forfeited his estates passed to William Douglas of Cluny before passing soon after to Robert Boyd, 1st Lord Boyd.
