Auchenlaich

This oval fort is situated on the top of a low rounded hill above the Brackland Glen and Keltie Water.

Measuring around 90m north-west by south-east by around 60m across it consists of an earth rampart outside of which was a ditch. The rampart has been much reduced, presumably through forestry work, although it remains to a height of around 3.5m at the north-west end.

The outer ditch can be traced at the north-west and south-east ends but only to a depth of 0.4m. There is an entrance through the ditch and bank at the north-west and south-east ends, the south-east one being marked by a large boulder.
