Drumquhassle was a 16th century castle which was replaced in the 19th century by Drumquhassle House.
In the late 13th or early 14th century Malcolm, Earl of Lennox, granted to John, son of Alan de Lany, the lands of Drumchastell which Alan had resigned into the Earl’s hands.
