It was a gloriously sunny day today, so I headed out on my bike for a cycle around Edinburgh, not going anywhere in particular. But I ended up at Portobello, and what a fortuitous decision it was to go there.
With the sun shining brightly overhead, the sea was warm enough for a paddle.
There was quite a breeze blowing in off the sea – not enough to take the edge off the temperature, but sufficient for kite-flying and sailing.
Portobello‘s beach has beautifully-soft golden sand, it’s surprising that it’s not more popular.
