In 1994 this site was discovered following an extensive geophysical survey carried out by GUARD prior to a gas pipeline being laid. A possible pit-defined cursus was identified following excavation which revealed several enclosures and evidence of activity relating to the Mesolithic, Bronze Age and Iron Age was found.
