There was once a tower at Troston although nothing of it now remains.
It’s possible that part of the old tower may have been incorporated in the L-plan farmhouse, part of a farmstead that is said to have been built between 1820 and 1840.
Troston is in the parish of New Abbey and the county of Kirkcudbrightshire.
