Edinburgh car hire guide

For visitors arriving into Edinburgh by plane, the car hire centre at Edinburgh Airport will be the most convenient place to pick up a hire car, with a choice of many of the leading brands.

If you are arriving into Edinburgh by train, you probably arrive at Waverley Station, which has several car hire options on site. Haymarket Station also has limited car hire available.

As well as the car hire at the stations, there are several other city centre locations to the east of Princes Street at Picardy Place, East London Street and Annandale Street.

To the north east in Leith there is car hire at Salamander Street.

In the western suburbs of the city, on the way towards the airport, there are car hire locations at Calder Road, Corstorphine Road and Murrayburn Road.
