Auchneight Castle (site of)
Auchneight Castle was a property of the McCulloch family in the 17th century and possibly earlier, but nothing of it now remains.
It is said to have been used as a hunting lodge by the McCullochs of Clanyard.
In 1619 Alexander McCulloch of Torhouse owned the lands of Torhouse-McCulloch, Eschandarroch, Torhouse-McKie, Cairngorran, Auchneacht and Craichdow.
Ruins of the castle could apparently still be seen in the late 19th century but its exact location has now been lost.
