The Post House is a delightful old post and sorting office situated in the village of Kingussie, fifteen miles from Aviemore. This cottage sleeps fourteen people and has six bedrooms, consisting of one family room with four single beds, three ground floor twin bedrooms and two ground floor double bedrooms, one of which has a basin, as well as a ground floor family bathroom and a family shower room. The cottage also has a fitted kitchen with dining area and wood burning stove, utility room, sitting room with dining area, wood burning stove and pool table, plus there is a second sitting room with TV and DVD. Outside, there is off road parking for two cars and roadside parking for two cars, plus a south facing courtyard area with furniture. The Post House is a superb holiday home, close to many activities and attractions.
Full oil-fired central heating with additional heating from wood burning stoves in sitting room and kitchen. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, 2 x TVs and DVDs with Freeview, stereo/CD player. Wi-Fi. Fuel, power and starter pack of fuel for wood burning stoves inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. 2 x travel cots, 2 x highchairs and stairgate available on request. Spacious private courtyard with furniture. Off road parking for 2 cars and roadside parking for 2 cars. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shops, pubs and railway station 2 mins walk. Note: Further supplies of fuel for the wood burning stove are available from the owner.
Kingussie is set in the Cairngorms National Park and offers a folk museum, hotels and restaurants, plus during the summer months, demonstrations of traditional crafts take place. Close to Kingussie is the popular winter destination of Aviemore, and the area also boasts Dalwhinnie, Scotland's highest whisky distillery and the Highland Wildlife Park. Kingussie is an ideal base for exploring the area.
