The world famous diving site at St Abbs is close by, and beaches at Cove and Coldingham offer an incredibly scenic backdrop to coastal walks. Nearby Cockburnspath lies on the eastern extremity of the Southern Upland Way and is a long distance footpath from the west to east coast of the country. A short drive or train journey north will take you to Edinburgh – a vibrant city with a wonderful arts culture -whilst Berwick-upon-Tweed and Lindisfarne are just a short drive south.
